Autonomous shuttles are coming to Toronto

Toronto plans to launch, in partnership with Metrolinx and TTC, autonomous shuttles that will be able to seat 8 to 12 people by 2020. These electric vehicles will be the first trial of automated transit shuttles for Toronto and will help residents access other transit options more easily. Moreover, there will be staff on the shuttle to ensure safety.
