There are more than one million Hispanics in Canada. They tend to be younger (by an average of five years) and more likely to be university educated than other Canadians. Over 70% have arrived within the past 25 years but they are already making major contributions in fields ranging from business, the professions, the arts and academia.

Since 2007, the “10 most influential Hispanic Canadians” recognizes the most prominent members of the Spanish-speaking community from across Canada. To date, there are 120 awardees in 7 provinces representing 17 countries of origin.

The Canadian Hispanic Business Alliance has just announced nominations for the 13th annual national edition of the “10 most influential Hispanic Canadians” awards are now open until July 15.
